Brigíns
Our Brigíní (aged 7-10) meet every Monday from 6.15pm to 7.30pm. Their leaders are Lorna and Vicky.
What do do?
Templeogue leaders work hard to offer our girls a varied and stimulating program. Each week is different and we actively encourage input from our girls.
Arts and Crafts: This year we have made Christmas snow globes, door hangers, Easter eggs and many more.
Game night: We love games which encourage teamwork. Some of our favourite games include 'the ball game', ship sea shore, obstacle courses and relay races, and the mars bar game.
Patrol work and Badge: Our girls are divided into three patrols. A patrols is a small team working together. They key element of the Patrol System is that it is a learning process and often many simple lessons are been learnt by the Brigins along the way.
Badge Work
Once a month we hold a badge night where our Brigins can complete a badge in their patrols, as a group or individually. Our Badges are designed to further develop skills and interests. They also encourage personal and social development. All our girls have embraced this aspect of the club and enjoy the challenge.
This month we are working towards our Hostess Badge.
Enrolment 2010
In February 2010 we welcomed four new Brigins to our company. Our enrolment ceremony was held in St. Pius X church during Family Mass. Well done to all our Brigins who turned up in force to support our new members.
Congratulations girls!
